la rentrée plus workshops

Hello Everyone, (version français a suivre)
Here is a little news coming your way about la rentrée to help get you excited about jumping back into your routine in Paris.
You have the schedule for August on the blog and I have posted the new hours for September as well.

A new look. The website has a new look and here you can read about the new teachers joining the staff. There are eleven teachers and you can read more about them and upcoming workshops, etc on the blog yogainparis.blogspot.com. There are at least 3 classes a day.

A dream I have had came true through the Yoga Marais, a place where everyone can come practice. All are welcome, from the brand new babies, (read more about Tatiana's baby massage workshops on the blog), all the way to a special class for seniors. And no matter what your fitness level, I think you will find a class that will suit you in the schedule. Two early morning dynamic classes have been added for those of us who would like to get a practice in before work.

There will be no Teacher Training this year, but I am preparing now and preparing the teachers to take an Advanced level 500-hr to be conducted in the Spring of 2013.
Andrei will be coming back to us in May.

I am taking another training program myself and am leaving next week for Yogaville in Virginia, www.yogaville.org to be with my teachers, to sit and be inspired and to bring back some new energy to infuse my courses. I will be back Sept 5 to teach and all my classes will be covered in my absence. You can use your cards. Please note, my rates go up on Sept 1. The schedule remains the same.

Workshops with Michelle at The Centre de Yoga du Marais
These workshops are open to all levels and are designed to inspire you to go deeper in your practice. They take place on Sundays and are an intensive 3-hour practice.

Sunday, Sept 18 1:30-4:30 The Yamas and Niyamas in your Hatha Yoga Practice
The Yamas and Niyamas are attitudes and behaviors that were defined by Patanjali and then notated in the Yoga Sutras going back as far as 2,000 years ago.
The Yamas are attitudes we work on cultivating toward others, and the Niyamas are attitudes we cultivate toward ourselves.
In this workshop we learn what they are and what this means to us on our mats in our practice of postures and breathing.
This workshop begins la rentrée and is a nice way to think about how we move in our world as we 'return to a beginning.'

Sunday, October 23 1:30-4:30 Mudras and Bandhas
It has been a while since I have given this workshop and is a favorite of mine. This one relates quite personally to each one of us and you will learn the proper use of Bandha locks of energy concentration in your practice and how to activate more subtle awarenesses through Mudra, gesture, in your practice.

Sunday, Dec 4 1:30-4:30 Developing you own Home Practice

This workshop will give you the tools to define and design your own home practice, and to keep you inspired to practice over the holidays

Cost: 45 euros/workshop or a special price of 115 euros for all three.

I prepare the materials you will need in these workshops in advance. Please bring a notebook. Your space is confirmed upon receipt of payment and places are limited. All workshops qualify as continued education for the Yoga Alliance teachers.

I look forward to seeing you all and hearing news about your vacations in September!
Milos was wonderful.

Ode to the sun
To praise the sun, to praise the ocean, is to praise your own soul. Rumi

Namaste,
Michelle
